What is diabetes?
Diabetes is a health condition that affects how your body uses sugar (also called glucose). When you eat food, your body breaks it down into sugar, which then enters your bloodstream. Your body needs a hormone called insulin to help the sugar get into your cells, where it can be used for energy.
In diabetes, there's a problem with insulin. Either your body doesn't make enough insulin, or it can't use the insulin it makes properly. This means that the sugar stays in your bloodstream, so your blood sugar levels become too high.
High blood sugar levels can cause a range of health problems over time if not managed properly.

Common symptoms of diabetes, such as frequent urination, increased thirst, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, frequent fungal infections and blurred vision.Treatment will be based on my experience and each patients unique history, age, weight and various factor-like lifestyle until now.Very high sugars do take time to come down as we need to make sure about patient safety. We carefully increase medicine every 3-7 days as needed in addition to teaching lifestyle interventions. So we go safe and steady with excellent results and work as a team with the patient and her/his family members.

Fatty liver disease, also known as hepatic steatosis, is a condition characterized by the buildup of fat in the liver cells. Hyperlipidemia refers to elevated levels of lipids (fats) in the blood, including cholesterol and triglycerides. Hyperlipidemia can be classified into different types based on the specific lipid(s) that are elevated and the underlying cause.
What are the consequences of untreated hyperlipidemia(High Cholesterol)?
Untreated hyperlipidemia can lead to the buildup of fatty deposits in the blood vessels (atherosclerosis), which can restrict blood flow and increase the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, and peripheral artery disease. It can also contribute to the development of other health problems, including pancreatitis and fatty liver disease.
What is pre-diabetes and can it be prevented or fixed?
Prediabetes is a condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be diagnosed as type 2 diabetes. It's often considered a precursor to type 2 diabetes and indicates an increased risk of developing diabetes in the future. Prediabetes is typically diagnosed through blood tests that measure fasting blood sugar levels, oral glucose tolerance, or hemoglobin A1c levels. While prediabetes can increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, it's not inevitable, and lifestyle modifications can significantly reduce or even reverse the condition
In how many years can Pre-Diabetes change to Diabetes?
Everybody is different, but usually this change happens in 5-10 year, provided we know when the person became a pre diabetic (Most people don't really know when they became prediabetic, but most Indians fall into this category the moment the start gaining weight ,usually early to mid 30's).

Visceral fat or abdominal fat, is the type of fat that surrounds the organs in the abdominal cavity. Excess visceral fat is linked to a higher risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers.
